Graphic Designer, Illustrator, Painter

Brisbane, Australia

I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. I have distinct memories of being scolded in school for filling up my notebooks with doodles and sketches. For a long time I thought I wanted to be an animator, and then I didn't get into the degree I had wanted to. I floundered for a while with fine art but I struggled to develop my own sense of style and practice.

For a few years I worked in call centres and became more and more frustrated. In 2008 I finally enrolled in a Diploma of Graphic Design (Print Production) and for the first time in years, something clicked. I knew that I'd finally hit the nail on the head.

After graduating from college I took a temporary job in a call centre that has since evolved into my full-time job, however I chose to also persue graphic design & illustration as a freelancer. Since I began freelancing I have also been developing my painting & illustration portfolio. When I was a little girl I couldn't decide what I wanted to be - a painter, an illustrator, an animator, a designer? Now I know - I want to do everything.

It is my goal that I will get enough creative work to quit my call center job and work full-time on artistic projects.

Some of my other passions include comic books, video games, music, fashion, body modification, reading, & travel. I currently live in Australia with my greatest love of all, my partner.
